The Yanks Are Marching On

I should begin with this statement:
Well done FC Dallas Front Office!
I know, you are all shocked that those words could ever be uttered or typed by me, but if you are going to openly criticize a group, you have to be willing to applaud their successes.
As many across the country piled in to bars on Saturday night, paying upwards of $20 to have the privilege of watching a low quality, jittery, oft-frozen closed circuit feed of the US v. Honduras qualifier, those of us in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area were luckier. Thanks to FC Dallas, we got to enjoy the match for free at the Stadium Club at Pizza Hut Park. They even put the match on the jumbotrons in the stadium and allowed fans to watch outside if they chose to brave the cool weather. All in all, well done. They certainly recouped their cost with exorbitantly priced food and beverage, but that's to be expected...at least the food was tasty.
All in all, an excellent public relations move by the club and one that deserves recognition.
You can hear my thoughts on the match by checking out this week's MFUSA Soccer Show.
