Glorious Digital Goodness Ahead!

Tucked in to the meat and potatoes of this Washington Post article about Fox Soccer Channel's plans for their newly acquired Champions League coverage are some of the most glorious words soccer fans could hear...
"FSC, which reaches 34 million households, plans to launch HD telecasts at the end of this year."It's about time!
I love watching soccer, but I really love watching soccer in HD. In addition, the network is considering using the UEFA supplied English commentary, rather than having announcers call the game from studio here in the United States (which is what ESPN does). Setanta will continue to air the majority of Champions League matches (94 in all), while FSC will get the top matches, just like ESPN.
FCS's English Premier League contract runs through the 2009-10 season.
